GENERAL MANAGER VACANCY – Exciting opportunity in a truly unique pub in one of London’s most vibrant and colourful areas – The Lock Tavern, Camden

The Lock is perfectly positioned on Chalk Farm Road, just moments from Camden Market and the iconic Roundhouse. Set across two floors, the pub features a spacious rear beer garden, with a first-floor bar that opens out onto a rooftop terrace overlooking the market—easily one of the best spots in the area. Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, The Lock is a hub for live music and DJs, trading late into the weekend and consistently drawing a lively crowd. Its customer base is an eclectic mix of Camden locals, tourists, aspiring musicians, and Londoners in search of a great night out.

The bar offers a strong and varied drinks range, including international favourites alongside locally sourced beers and selections brewed at our Hertford brewery. Cocktails are particularly popular and play a key role in the late-night offering. Food is centred around our Social Specialist menu, with a focus on high-quality, indulgent burgers that complement the venue’s energetic, social feel. The offer is simple, bold, and well-executed designed to keep pace with the atmosphere and appeal to a broad audience.

Management Profile

The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker, Camden is a competitive trading environment. They’ll have a good knowledge of live entertainment, music and DJ’s. They’ll show evidence of understanding various demographics, as Camden is an attraction for tourists, local residents, students, local office workers. Experience of working in a high street environment and must have an obsessive passion for team development and guest service. The ability to lead, grow and inspire a large team is fundamental for the success of the business.
